Computer vision systems process image data in real time and can do what the human eye cannot: distinguish products, uncover missing parts and detect colour divergences and surface defects, all without operator intervention.   • Quality control on production lines – the system verifies correct rim installation, component colour and gap width and compares them with tolerances. Dispatch planning, scheduling production and building pallets – these are all problems that are too complex to be solved optimally by a human in real time. The mathematical solvers in Aimtec solutions can handle them in seconds while taking any number of constraints into account simultaneously.

  • Shipping – the solver dynamically optimises the full chain from multi-warehouse picking to robot or conveyor transport and sorting into hundreds of packages to carrier loading.   • Production – e.g. paint-shop planning that accounts for colour changes, sequencing of products on carriers and cutting plans that minimise waste of materials.
  • Storage and transport – optimum pallet stacking and container loading, ensuring that every centimetre is used effectively.

But speed is only one of the benefits. “We also use solvers to simulate various scenarios, allowing us to evaluate the suitability of different solution options in advance. This gives companies a powerful tool for strategic decision-making,”  Schwob explains. Customers can thus replace guesswork with data-backed decisions before implementation even begins.

AI that reads, translates and understands context

Orders, delivery notes, invoices: every supplier uses a different format, language and data layout. Manual transcription into the system is slow and error-prone. Aimtec’s solutions use large language models for automated extraction of key data from documents, photographs and PDF files and direct storage of this data into the ERP system. One fundamental difference compared to traditional OCR is that AI understands context. It doesn’t matter where the information is located within the document, how it is marked or what language it is written in. The system can even deal with previously unknown formats without retraining or template adjustments. The result is faster document processing and a significantly lower risk of errors caused by manual entry.
