First the order, then production. SEAT’s digital division has turned this Spanish automaker’s entire supply chain upside down. An interview with Head of IT Delivery Production and Logistics Paul Palmero and Product Manager José Marín Ruiz on how technology and digitalisation can transform even traditional and unchanging industries such as the automotive supply chain.

You’ll also learn, for example, about the “control tower” system, with which you can monitor and integrate all the different checkpoints and processes within the supply chain, and how this will help companies both inside and outside the VW Group. We also asked the two their thoughts on whether rumours of EDI’s death have been exaggerated.

The 21st annual Trends in Automotive Logistics (TAL) conference was held at the end of September 2021 and brought speakers and attendees in the automotive industry from throughout Europe into Pilsen yet again.
